2 DAYS BERBER VILLAGES TREK IN SHARED GROUP: GUIDED BERBER SETTLEMENT TREKKING IN ATLAS

Guided group excursion among Berber settlements in the Atlas Mountains and at the foot of Mount Toubkal. For mountain hikers in Morocco, this two-day walk begins at Imlil Valley and travels deep into the Great Atlas Mountains.

ITINERARY FOR GROUP 2 DAYS BERBER VILLAGES TREK

The Atlas Mountains region is the most popular with trekkers: readily accessible from Marrakech, it is an area of spectacular landscape, high mountains (including Toubkal, North Africa's highest mountain at 4167m), and traditional Berber settlements. Mule trails traverse high mountains and drop into deep valleys, passing summer meadows and terraces of maize, potatoes, and other crops, as well as orchards of walnut, apple, and cherry. Imlil is the area's major trail-head.

Day 1 :Marrakech - Imlil (Atlas Mountains) - Azzaden Valley

On the first day of your trek, you will meet your driver at Marrakech airport and then begin driving to Imlil Valley, the beginning location of the climbing. After passing through Tahanaout and Asni rural communities.

When you arrive in Imlil, meet your local guide, cook, and mules, who will be carrying your baggage and food for your two-day trek across the Atlas Mountains. Following the explanation, we will stroll and spend the night. The moment has come to follow the guidance and travel through Berber communities before taking the route to Tizi Mzik.

Our chef will be waiting for you there, cooking a lovely meal. Take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and Berber settlements before joining our cook and learning about Berber cuisine. After lunch, resume your trek to Tamsoulte, then to Tizi Oussem village, where you will spend the night in the afternoon after 5 hours of trekking. You'll get the possibility to go to the waterfalls with a Berber local house and eat your meal there.

Day 2: Azzaden Valley - Tizi Oussem - Imi Oughllade - Marrakech

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise at a traditional Berber village and get your Berber breakfast to overlook the hamlets of Tizi Oussem it's truly amazing views landscapes, genuinely you'll enjoy this trip and you'll decide that the Atlas Mountains is one of the places that you must visit while in Marrakech. After breakfast, go from the traditional village towards Id Issa Village.

Continue to Tizi Oudid, which is roughly 2000 meters above sea level, and then to Matat village, where you will have your final excellent lunch during this two-day tour across the Atlas Mountains beneath the shade of walnut trees. After lunch, travel the route to Imi Oughlade, where your driver will be waiting for you, and return to Marrakech in the afternoon after a 5- to 6-hour hike in the Atlas Mountains.

Trek to Berber Villages 2 days: Visit traditional Berber settlements and Mount Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak. Imlil's waterfalls are worth a visit. Have lunch at a traditional Berber house and learn about their way of life.
