MOROCCO ATLAS AND SAHARA TOUR: PRIVATE TOUR DEPARTURE TANGIER 9-DAY TOWARDS MERZOUGA AND MARRAKECH

DAY 1: TANGIER - CHEFCHAOUEN

We organize privately guided tours departure Tangier organised by Morocco Tours Toubkal Trek trusted travel company. On the first day of our 9-Day Trip Tangier to Imperial Cities, we will pick you up from the airport/port and travel to Chfchaouen (the blue city) via the Rif mountains and Tetouan city, where you will be able to appreciate the spectacular mountain views. Stay the night at your Riad/Hotel.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN - VOLUBILIS - MEKNES - FES

After breakfast in the riad, our genuine journey to Volubilis will begin, passing via Ouazan and other Rif towns. In Volubilis, we will explore the best-preserved Roman remains in Morocco and learn about the archaeological site of Moroccan history. Following the tour to the ruins, we will go to Meknes, a 17th-century heritage city, where we will stop for lunch and walk through the medieval massive walls of the medina, including the bab el Mansour and Moulay Ismail tomb. Following your excursion to Meknes, we will transport you immediately to Fes, where you will spend the night.

DAY 3: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF FES WITH A LOCAL GUIDE

Today you will be taken on a guided tour of Fes's medina and famed Souks, which are replete with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets, as well as the unique Andalusian architecture in every part of the old city and its monuments. We will make certain that you visit all cultural and historical places, including the famed Al Qaraouine University. The tour will also include stops to tanneries and a pottery cooperative to view traditional Moroccan crafts. Overnight stay at a hotel/riad.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA AND CAMEL TREKKING, FOLLOWED BY A NIGHT IN A DESERT

After breakfast, we'll begin our exploration of the area by visiting a community of black people originating from Mali to see their music and way of life. After that, we'll drive to Miffis Mines to see how they function before heading beyond the Dunes in a complete desert with stunning views to sit for a warm cup of tea with the local Bedouins. After a cup of tea, your local guides will show you how to ride and disembark your camels, as well as other useful camel-related safety recommendations, before you begin exploring the mystical Erg-Chebbi sand-sea. Spend the night in a Berber tent.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA, JERF, TODGHA GORGES, AND DADES VALLEY

Continuing our Tangier tour towards Imperial Cities, we will leave early in the morning to see the finest sunrise of your life, creating varied shadows and hues across Morocco's tallest sand dunes. After breakfast, we will travel to Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorge, Morocco's tallest and narrowest gorges, before returning to our desert accommodation. The gorge is ideal for trekking and lounging on the river's side, as well as eating some traditional Berber specialities. After lunch in the middle of the gorge, we'll travel through the Dades Valley, where we'll spend the night at a lovely hotel on the mountain's crest.

DAY 7: DADES VALLEY - OUARZAZAT - AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH - MARRAKECH

After breakfast at your accommodation, we'll travel through the Dades Valley to Kalaa M'gouna (the Rose City) and Ouarzazat. The drive through Dades Valley is the route of a thousand kasbahs, allowing ample possibilities to capture some of your greatest photography views of the trip. Then, we will make a brief stop at the Atlas Movie Studio in Ouarzazate before driving to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Morocco's largest Kasbah, built by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains at the beginning of the XXth century, as one of his stops on his long journey from the Sahara to Marrakech.

A visit to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1987. After lunch, we will continue on our journey via high Atlas mountains with panoramic vistas and charming Berber settlements until we arrive in Marrakech.

DAY 8:  MARRAKECH - CASABLANCA - RABAT

Travelling to Casablanca for guided city excursion. Then we visit Rabat and we explore main sights. Overnight in local hotel. Enjoy our 9-Day Atlas and Sahara Tour from Tangier.

DAY 9:  RABAT - ASILAH - TANGIER

Today we travel along Atlantic coast to Asilah and our tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Tangier. Thank you for traveling in Morocco with experienced travel company and we transfer you to your hotel or airport at the end of your selected Private Tour from Tangier.
